A Personal Message From Specialist Physical Therapist, Catherine Courtney

Do you avoid going for a walk outside or at the park because you feel "off balance"?
Do you have to turn on the lights before you go to the bathroom during the night?
Do you bring your stick when you go out of the house "just in case"?
If this sounds like you, we can help!
Balance problems and instability can affect one's confidence to get out the house and enjoy life. And balance can be trained and improved, just like any other muscle problem.
Sometimes balance is affected by an injury or pain, sometimes by weakness, and sometimes by problems in your inner ear. We can help identify the cause of the balance loss and develop a training program specific for you.
One thing is for sure, if you continue to move cautiously and avoid uneven surfaces, your balance is not going to improve. If fact, you will most like have more balance problems as time goes on. And we all know, our sidewalks are not going to smooth out any time soon.
We offer free discovery visits to evaluate what your balance challenges are,to discover how they are affecting your life, and to create a plan to get you feeling confident again.
